SPECIFICATION: The hog
holders are standard with 3/16" galvanized aircraft
cables, 3 3/4" length solid steel T-handles and
5/8" diameter durable, high strength carbon steel
tubing and rods that are nickel plated and corrosion
resistant.
The #27352 mini hog holder
is a select instrument for handling small swine. The overall
length is 16", a 4 1/2" rubber grip handle and a
20 1/2" loop of cable.
The #27350 Iowa hog holder
is 37" in overall length, 4 1/2" rubber grip
handle, 26" length rod and a 25" loop cable. A
removable locking ratchet will hold any position along the
rod, and the cable easily adjusts at the handle.
The #27348 Premium hog
holder is 37" in overall length, 4 1/2" rubber
grip handle, 27" length rod, and a 25" loop cable.
The instrument has a safety lock at the handle for a quick,
easy release. Repairs and replacement parts are available
upon request.
OBJECTIVE: To aid in
the humane restraint of swine for the purpose of animal
control, safety of handling, and applications related to
medical procedures.
APPLICATION: Grasp the
hog holder with the rod in one hand and the other hand on
the T-handle with the cable loop fully extended. Approach
the animal from the front. Insert the cable loop into the
mouth and pull on the T-handle to tighten the cable around
the snout. When the cable is tight, keep constant tension on
the T-handle to secure application. Proceed with caution.
When objective is accomplished,
cautiously remove the cable by pushing forward on the
T-handle while grasping the rod with one hand and pull the
instrument away from the animal. |
